We have been asked to stop sales of our recording of The Rite of Spring by The Man, aka, the lawyers who represent the company who represent the estate of Mr. Stravinsky.
Apparently, the copyright still holds in Europe for a considerable time yet—70 years from the date of Mr. Stravinsky’s death; this puts copyright expiration at roughly 2041. Imagem/Boosey & Hawkes are fairly aggressive with this timetable. However, we can still sell our arrangement in the U.S. of A. Unfortunately, this involves geo-blocking and most sites don’t generally offer this for downloadable music. We are exploring iTunes and other options. If we figure it out, we will definitely let everyone know. If you do happen to live in the United States and want a copy of our stellar arrangement of The Rite of Spring, please contact us and we will work out getting you an actual physical copy of the recordings. Yes, real CDs.
Otherwise, we will see you in 28 years or so for the great BSQ reunion performance. Expect more beards, bigger stomachs, and harder Sacrificial Dancing.
